Pikes Peak Ride

May 21, 2010 - Leave a Response

Did you ever what it would be like to ride Pikes Peak on Your Bike. I did it on may 20th 2010. Go to the videos, I have one going down at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LS4e_jIV-Fo                                                                                               and one going up at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UNjdO80eRo

Lots of wind noise, the wind was blowing at 20 and gusting to 40 at the time, they are a little long but if you are ever going to do this ride the video will show that it is not all paved roads.

April 25, 2010 - Leave a Response

We had two more great rides, one to Fred’s house and then to Sleepy Hollow.

The next month it was up to Mount Dora for the antique boat show. Good food, cold beer and New Friends made this a really sweet ride.

Our Grand Daughter (Emmalyn) on her first ride.

We will be suspending rides until September when we will be back from 5 months of touring the USA in our motorhome pulling our truck and the Street Glide. If you want to read about our travels check out http://itisallaboutbrian.wordpress.com , until then Party Hard,  Ride Safe,  Live Long. See Ya Brian

Freakin Freezin February First Rooster Ride

February 16, 2010 - One Response

We met at Dixies Dockside on the coldest day of the year, February 14th Valentines Day. After some pictures by Dory,I guess she wanted to get in the picture as that’s her finger, Thanks Dory, It was off to Peggy’s Corral in Palmetto for Bloody’s Marys.

A brisk ride. The drinks were worth every penny of the $1.50, not only do you get a spicy potent drink but they put enough olives and peppers in, it qualifies as a salad. Next It was off to Woody’s River Roo, well at least most of us, due to lack of communication(on my part) some of us headed to our third stop, which was Beanies.  Herman and Lauren with safety always on their mind decided that a safety cone might be needed but then decided that they could do without it. Everyone should be on the lookout for the two thugs that robbed Peggys at gun point last week not just once but twice. They have a perfect pictures of the low lifes.

They are black, look young- maybe 16 t0 20 years old wearing hoodie sweatshirts, if you see them please do not approach without being fully ready to blow this scum off of the face of the earth. Back to the ride- So after catching up with Herman and Laruen or them catching up with us we get to Woodys. The Sun is out and we decide to get drinks and sit on the deck.

The owner of  Woody’s came by and took our picture. Everyone is starving so off to Beanies it is. Once we get there we find our straglers that we lost at Peggys.  Joe, Todd,Trish, andRay and Tim are there to welcome us, they were so glad to catch up with us they forgot to be mad for us leading them the wrong way.

Drinks and food are ordered and after a casual 2 hours it’s off to Shenaningans. “Born to Ride” is there and took all of our pictures, so hopefully we’ll make the magazine. Ron promised to add our next ride info in his magazine. The band was playing when we got there but as soon as we get our drinks they go on break, just our luck.

Ready to head back to Dixies, we arrive a 4 P.M. and then as usual have a great time. I’ll start planning the next trip, it will HAVE to be warmer as I don’t think it could have been colder. 10 Bikes with 18 riders for this first ride, I’m sure we’ll have more next time. Until then, if you have any ides about where you want to ride, we already are planning a Key West Trip, if you have any ideas or suggestions please email roostersriders@gmail.com , I look forward to our next ride and having you ride with us.    See Ya,  Brian
